Featuring the same revolutionary toe and heel design as the Duke, but with a 4-13 DIN range and a lighter weight construction that shaves 150 grams of weight, about 1/3 of a pound less than the Duke. The Baron is suited for lighter-weight big mountain skiers who want the performance of the triple-pivot toe and inter-pivot heel.

Power-Width-Design for maximum power transmission

  • Low, level stand height
  • Shortest frame of all hiking models in the market
  • 10 mm wider interface than traditional bindings (not built around the historic 63 mm SL ski like conventional bindings)
  • Connection brackets extend upward on the outside, for the ultimate power transmission

Patented BCT Back Country Technology uphill hiking mode

  • Easy adjustment from ride to hike
  • New: same hiking aid as the Tour bindings with 7° and 13° position
  • Protected BCT lever in ski mode
  • 40 mm backward movement in BC mode for better balanced ski swing weight and easier kick turns
  • Recommended for skis over 76 mm

Royal Technology

power width illustration

Power-Width-Design for maximum power transmission.

Marker engineers invented power-width to give our new freeskiing bindings the ultimate power transmission for today's wide skis. NO OTHER BINDING creates as much power and control. Prior to the Duke and Jester, the only technology to accommodate wide skis was making wide brakes. The attachment for Royal Family bindings features a wide bracket that was built on a 76mm minimum ski width. Previous designs had been based on a 63mm ski width.

BCT Back Country Technology.

  • BCT / Ski lever protected under foot to prevent inadvertent opening in ski mode.
  • The unique mobility feature moves the skier's center of mass 30mm backward in BC mode - resulting in a better balanced ski swing weight and easier kick-turns.
  • Hiking aid with 5° & 10° positions
  • Stand height lowest of all "frame" AT models with 32 mm toe & 34 mm heel

Triple Pivot Elite Toe & Inter-Pivot Heel.

  • 5° sole holder angle (Biometric Pro is 15°; standard Biotech is 30°; and Biometric WC is 0°).
  • High energy absorption to prevent pre-release
  • Increased boot lug contact
  • New heel design focuses power in direction of boot sole & elasticity direction (similar to MRR) for superior holding power and energy transfer.h 32 mm toe & 34 mm heel
